Robin Pradham from Rocky Raccoon Café in Downtown Owen Sound has been invited to represent the Grey Bruce Region at an event that will introduce thousands to the taste of 7 distinct regions of the Province.  Robin will be preparing Nepalese Momos – a steamed dumpling with either mushroom and cheese or beef fillings.  Alas, the event has been sold out for weeks!

Were going to be at Feast of Fields on Sept 13 in Woodbridge Ontario.  This will be held this year on September 13, 2009 at Kortright Centre for Conservation. Feast of Fields will be held in conjunction with the grand opening of Kortright’s newest project, the completion of a 5 acre organic garden designed by Gavin Dandy, manager of Everdale Organic Farm.

The team at Organic Advocates plan to make this 20th Anniversary the best event in Feast history.

Organic Advocates/Feast of Fields was established in 1989 by chefs Jamie Kennedy and Michael Stadtlander, and other like-minded professionals. We are a non-profit organization of organic producers, environmentally concerned chefs and other food professionals, and enlightened consumers.

Beyond the immediate educational impact of Feast of Fields, each year a significant donation is made to an ecological group or organization to promote sustainable, organic agriculture. Past recipients have included: The Ecological Farmers Association, The University of Guelph Organic Agriculture Program, York University and Seeds of Diversity.
